Executive Director’s Office



The Executive Director’s office at the National Animal Genetic Resources Centre is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administration of the Centre and provides strategic leadership in the implementation of its strategic goals and objectives. The office provides technical support and carrying out economic policy engagement review by; planning, directing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating economic policy activities of the organization.

The Executive Director is empowered to: –

  • Implement policies and programmes of the Centre and report to the Board of Directors; he/she serves as the Board Secretary

  • The proper management of the funds and property of the Centre
  • The organization and control of the employees of the Centre
  • The development of an operating plan to guide the Centre in achieving its objectives
  • The development of the management plans for the utilization of the Centre’s resources;
  • Co-operation with other government ministries, departments and agencies in the agricultural sector
  • The development of an economic, efficient and cost-effective internal management structure;
